Pete began his career in IT 32 years ago. He spent 20 of those years with Accenture, the world's largest technology consulting firm. Pete became a global leader of IT services outsourcing and transformation delivery programs for some of the biggest and most recognized companies in the world. He held multi-account P&L responsibilities, negotiated, managed and delivered IT solutions and services to global cross-industry Fortune 500 clients, relying on expertise of hundreds of employees under his purview. He held expatriate roles in India and the Philippines and worked extensively in the UK, Brazil, the US and across Canada.

Pete also worked with a global financial institution as a strategy officer in the offices of the GCIO and GCPO. He leveraged his experience as a global interest-based negotiations instructor and overall IT and Procurement leadership acuity to drive IT savings and cost avoidance across diverse vendor portfolio(s). He introduced, optimized and delivered operationally strategic programs to reduce OpEx and maintain vendor relationships across strategic segments.

He has now been with Gartner for almost 6 years. Given his breadth of global experience, he is among few chosen to play a dedicated executive advisory role. He provides no-nonsense thought leadership in the establishment, maintenance and value driven by disciplined and strategic sourcing and vendor management practices. Many of Pete's clients are C-level, and praise his ability to breathe 'lived experience' into research and opinions shared. He transitions seamlessy from tactical to strategic discussions and works with client executives to help them simplify, prioritize and navigate their most complex challenges.

Previous experience

Over a 20 year career with Accenture (globally), Pete established, built, sold, contracted, managed, remediated and negotiated IT services programs at significant global scale. He also worked extensively during significant internal organizational growth, actively building out of Accenture's offshore delivery teams. To this end, he pioneered client delivery models, contracting vehicles and quality measures while working in India, Brazil, the UK, across Canada, the US and living in the Philippines as an Expatriate member of the Asia Pacific IT Services leadership team.

Pete's senior executive presence and his ease of interaction with cross-industry client executives subsequently earned him the distinction of joining Accenture's interest-based negotiations team as a lead instructor, teaching around the world.
