Distinguished VP Analyst
Milind Govekar is a Chief of Research with the CIO Markets, Technology & Platforms practice. He researches, sets the direction and framework for worldwide integrative research across all the technology aspects for the CIO role. He is also manages, publishes, coordinates and provides advice to CIOs and Executive Leaders on Cloud for Business Enablement, IT 2030 and Enterprise Platforms. He is often invited to be a keynote speaker at events globally, and has held several roles, such as, Chief of Research for I&O, conference chair for Gartner global I&O events, Team manager and others. He frequently works with and advises executives, globally, in large and small enterprises, investors, governments, technology and service providers.
Previous experience
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Govekar has been involved in multiple areas of IT for the past 30 years: as a IT Design Authority for UK Electricity Deregulation project, as a IT Operations leader, project manager, consultant, software developer, IT architect and analyst. His experience covers all areas of Infrastructure & Operations, program management, technology advisor to CIOs, leading advanced technology projects, leading and managing global teams and training, working for consultancies, end-user organisations and software vendors.
