During his career, he has been instrumental in delivering a number of industry firsts across telecom, media, social and wearables technology.
He studied AI in the 80s and during the following decades worked as a consultant on capabilities such as emerging behavioural targeting in ecommerce through to leading R&D at a data science team exploring machine learning, big data, analytics and AI techniques to unlock answers to complex problems in areas like customer journeys, mobility, smart cities, wearables, health, automotive and retail.
He most recently led AI content planning at Gartner for four years during the rise of Generative AI and is an experienced and passionate public speaker with the BBC, Economist, The Times, Marketing Week, Bloomberg, Information Age, Financial Times and CNET among the publishers who seek his opinion.
