Leonardo Ferreira is Director of Privacy and Information Security (CISO) at the Secretariat for Digital Government, Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services, Brazil. He leads the Federal Privacy and Information Security Program, coordinating 255 federal government organizations responsible for more than 4,750 digital services used by over 170 million citizens through Gov.br.
He plays a strategic role in cybersecurity operations for major global events hosted in Brazil, including the G20, BRICS and COP30, and contributes to international cooperation initiatives with governments and institutions in the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Spain, Singapore, Portugal, Denmark and Israel.
Leonardo serves as an advisory member of national cybersecurity, privacy and digital security councils, and is a professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas and Centro Universitário de Brasília. He is a PhD candidate and holds a Master’s degree in Applied Computing from the University of Brasília.
