Standing at the intersection of information constellations and material mass, she translates intangible data into the tactile "texture of life." By extracting the "dissonances" that arise when advanced technology intersects with social ethics and common sense, she continues to question the definitions of information and life through both projects that push the boundaries of possibility and realized installation works.
At Poiesis Labs in Kyoto, she practices "cultivating the ground"—ideating research seeds and prototyping through collaboration—to foster a new "poise" (tatazumai) between technology and humans. She also engages in product design within the field of advanced technology, bridging inquiries refined through collective wisdom and dialogue into social implementation.
Her work has been exhibited widely in Japan and internationally, including at ICC, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, Ars Electronica, and Palais de Tokyo. Her accolades include the Cannes Lions Product Design Grand Prix, D&AD Yellow Pencil, the STARTS Prize, and an Honorary Mention from Ars Electronica.
