George Sakaguchi began his career at a major IT company, where he worked on systems integration and IT consulting projects for manufacturing clients, as well as business planning and new business development. He joined Nichirei Corporation, a leading company in frozen foods and cold-chain logistics, in 2019 and was appointed General Manager of IT Strategy Division in 2021, launching and leading group-wide digital transformation (DX) initiatives. He became Executive Officer, General Manager of IT Strategy in 2023, and in April 2026 additionally assumed the role of CISO. In this capacity, he oversees IT strategy, enterprise system planning including ERP, and information security across the Nichirei Group.
