Speaker Bio
Born in the Netherlands in 1963. Due to his father’s work, he spent his childhood in Japan and speaks six languages, including Japanese, English, and Dutch (with native-level proficiency in Japanese). He completed his master’s degree at New York University.
After working at Heineken Japan, Nippon Lever (now Unilever Japan), Sunstar, and serving as Vice President of Coca-Cola Japan, he became President and Representative Director of Takara Tomy in 2015. He led the company from a deficit to a significant recovery, achieving record-high sales and profits.
In 2018, he was appointed President and CEO of New Japan Pro-Wrestling Co., Ltd. He focused on overseas expansion and achieved record sales and profits. He stepped down in October 2020.
His management skills have attracted attention, leading to numerous appearances in mass media. He has also received considerable recognition from the business community, including winning the Global Award at the 45th Keizaikai Awards (2019).
